Counterfeit versions of Fortune exist. Check for the following common indicators before purchasing this Beanie Baby:

1. The white fabric on the counterfeit is rougher and brighter than on the authentic Fortune.
2. An autentic Fortune has its eyes placed at the top edge of theblack patch on its cheek. The eyes are located lower on the counterfeit version.
3. The counterfeit swing tag has smudgy printing inside the yellow star on front. The print on the counterfeit swing tag is darker and bolder than the print on the authentic Fortune.
4. The counterfeit Fortune has its swing cag hanging behind the head. The authentic Fortune's swing tag is hanging in front of the face.
5. The legs on the counterfeit Fortune are thinner than the legs on the authentic Fortune.
6. The counterfeit version has a shorter and less defined snout.
7. The head on the counterfeit is rounder and it's ears are smaller.
